AI Form Builder

Introduced in GT eForms 3.77.00, the AI Form Builder, powered by Ida, hosts an AI chat assistant that helps you build and maintain GT eForms. This feature is a licensed add-on powered by GT's AI Enterprise Agent, Ida.Next. What the Assistant Can Do

Building a new form type means setting up its pages, segments, fields and workflow in Form Setup. With the new AI Form Builder, powered by Ida.Next, form builders can describe the form they want in a conversation instead. The assistant asks a series of questions, checks names and fields against your PeopleSoft environment, and lets the form builder accept or change each suggestion along the way. The result is an import-ready form definition. AI Form Builder can also help you update existing form types!

The assistant can build pages, segments and fields, dropdowns, prompt fields, approval workflow and its notifications, validations, and conditional logic such as showing, hiding or requiring fields and segments. Anything it can't build yet, it lists as a to-do for the form builder to finish in Form Setup.

Enabling the AI Form Builder

From GT eForms 3.77.00, every environment has the AI Form Builder page and its setup page, so the menu entry is there whether or not your organization has the add-on. The assistant will appear on this page when all of these are in place in the environment:

  1. The licensed AI Form Builder App Designer project supporting Ida.Next integration is installed.
  2. The Ida.Next platform URL is configured on the Ida.Next Installation page.
  3. The bot ID for this database is set on the AI Form Builder Setup page (below).

When licensing the AI Form Builder add-on, GT will provide these items to you along with support to get the tool up and running.

What the Page Shows Until Then

SituationThe page shows
Ida.Next integration isn't installed"AI Form Builder is not available", with a link to this page.
The Ida.Next platform URL is empty"Ida.Next platform URL is not configured", with a link to the Ida.Next Installation page.
No bot ID is set for this database"AI Form Builder bot ID is not configured", with a link to the AI Form Builder Setup page.

When both the platform URL and the bot ID are missing, the page shows both messages. If you have an AI Form Builder license and need help with either, contact support@gideontaylor.com.

AI Form Builder Setup

Navigation: Manage GT eForms 3.x > GT Functional Setup > GT System Setup > AI Form Builder Setup

Each database has its own bot ID, so you can enter one row per environment. The row for the database you're signed in to is highlighted, and the AI Form Builder page uses only that row. A row copied in from another database, for example by a database refresh, isn't used. This allows you to enter all your Database Name/bot ID combinations into production so that refreshes to lower environments will automatically use the correct bot ID for the current Database Name.

FieldValue/Use
DatabaseThe database the row applies to. A new row defaults to the current database.
Form Builder Bot IDThe ID of the AI Form Builder bot for that database, from your Ida.Next installation.
Save (button)Saves the setup.

If Ida.Next integration isn't installed, the setup page shows the "AI Form Builder is not available" message, and the rows can't be changed.

Security

The G3FORMFUNC and G3FORMTECH permission lists give access to both pages.
